Notre-Dame des Doms
The Romanesque cathedral beside the palace, topped by a gilded statue of the Virgin.
The cathedral was built in the 12th century, before the popes came, and two of them are buried inside. In 1859 a gilded statue of the Virgin was set on top of its tower.
She shines over the whole town, high above the Palais des Papes.
