Some two hundred children fill a square and a street: hoops, stilts, leapfrog, blind man's buff, knucklebones, playing at weddings and at church. Historians have counted around eighty games, many still played.

Archduke Ernst of Austria bought it in 1594, and it has been in the Habsburgs' collection, now this museum, ever since. Stand before it in 3D ›
