Terms and conditions
Instant Cities is a free game, still in development. These few terms apply when you play it or use this site.
Free to play
You can play every city for free, as often as you like, without an account. You may share links to the site, to a city or to a landmark anywhere you like.
As it is
Instant Cities is a side project and still in development, so expect rough edges. The site and the game come as they are, without any promise that they work on your device, stay online or stay the same. Nobody behind the project can be held responsible for any harm that comes from using them, as far as the law allows.
Not a map to rely on
The cities are built from OpenStreetMap and look like the real places, but they are a game, not a map. Streets, bridges, buildings and landmarks may lie in the wrong place, look different or be missing. Don't use the game to find your way, to plan a route or to judge whether a place is safe, and watch the real traffic when you ride a bike for real.
Map data, photos and code
- Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database Licence.
- Photos from Mapillary and Wikimedia Commons keep their own licences, credited on the page that shows them.
- The code is public on GitHub, for anyone to read and to suggest fixes.
Changes
These terms may change as the project grows. The version on this page is the one that applies. Questions go to an issue on GitHub.
