Miffy
Dick Bruna’s little white rabbit, born in Utrecht in 1955, who even has her own traffic lights in the town.
Dick Bruna lived and drew in Utrecht all his life, and in 1955 he made his first book about Nijntje, the little rabbit known in English as Miffy. She has since appeared in more than 120 books in over 50 languages.
Utrecht has a Miffy Museum opposite the Centraal Museum, a statue of her on the Nijntjepleintje, and a pedestrian crossing on Lange Viestraat where the lights show Miffy standing and walking. Ride through Utrecht in 3D ›
