At the Croce del Travaglio, the crossing of Banchi di Sopra, Banchi di Sotto and Via di Città, the three roads from the three thirds of the town meet. Here the Mercanzia, the court that settled the merchants’ quarrels, built its loggia from 1417, with statues of saints on its pillars.

From under its arches a few steps lead down to the Campo, and the whole of Siena passes in front of it in the evening. Visit it in 3D ›
