Meir
Antwerp’s great shopping street, lined with palaces and department stores.
The Meir runs from the old town towards the station, lined with grand houses, among them the 18th-century Paleis op de Meir, where Napoleon stayed. Today it is Belgium’s busiest shopping street.
Rubens’ house stands just off it.
