Groenplaats
The square at the foot of the cathedral, with a statue of Rubens in the middle.
The Groenplaats was once the churchyard of the cathedral; it became a square at the end of the 18th century. Rubens stands in bronze in the middle, on a statue of 1840.
From here you see the cathedral’s tower rising over the houses. In winter it holds a Christmas market.
