In 1949 Herta Heuwer, at her snack stand in Charlottenburg, mixed ketchup and curry powder she got from British soldiers and poured it over a fried sausage. Berlin has eaten it ever since.

It is served cut in pieces with a little wooden fork, with or without the skin, often with fries. Ride through Berlin in 3D ›
