For a thousand years the Forum was the centre of Roman life: markets, law courts, temples and the Curia, where the Senate met. Triumphal processions rode along its Sacred Way up to the Capitoline Hill.

Buried under centuries of earth and used as cow pasture, it was dug out again from the 19th century on. Today you look down on columns, arches and paving stones from the streets around it. Visit it in 3D ›
